You still haven't made clear if this is a business or somebody selling their old laptop. In the latter case they don't owe you any kind of service, poor or otherwise. It's not a business to customer relationship.0

It's an ebay sale. Private sellers don't have the same obligations as business sellers, but they still have obligations - read ebay's guidelines.0 -

Those are legal obligations. They have nothing to do with customer service. You fulfil them or don't fulfil them, the quality of same is immaterial.0
