Car insurance not paying out
Comments

A few years ago I was reading the court rolls and noticed my son's name taking someone to court, he didn't even know about it. It was his insurer claiming from the person that hit his car and they had not even involved him in the case.0

My partner has spoken to his insurance and he was told that the claim was settled 70/30 due to 3 independent witnesses' statements. The settlement figure was agreed and paid out. Now the other parties insurance is claiming additional £1399 but it is not know what for.0

Now it is established your partner was only 70% to blame this means he can reclaim 30% of all his uninsured losses (eg excess etc).
If he had legal cover with his policy at the time of the claim he can use that otherwise he needs to send a letter along with proof of the losses to the third party insurer requesting reimbursement based on the agreed 70/30 split liability.
