Hello all
Hoping someone can help.
I am just wondering if anyone had ever submitted an ESA50 and been put in the support group without any evidence from their GP and been sucessful? As I have a new GP and wrote me a letter but basically said as I was new to the surgery they cant comment on my current conditions but can see from my notes I was diagnoised with x y and z.
I do have other medical evidence from specialists. I am just wondering wether it would be better to leave out my GPs letter or to still include it?
What are peoples thoughts?
Thanks in Advance!!!

Send all clinical letters from hospital and if GP writes one include that too. It's not necessary to include GP letter.0

It's a bonus if you can get any sort of letter from your GP, certainly not a prerequisite for a successful application. I just sent a repeat prescription form listing medication.
Definitely send the letter though.

Keep copies of all you send, you don't want to lose the originals.0

Thanks all, has anyone ever been put in the support group without a face to face medical just based on the ESA50 with any documents from the GP?0

Totally agree with 'poppy12345' and from my own experience - specialists letters count more than GP.
As DM can override medical letters (esp) GP, can they also override hospital consultants?0 -
i had an assessment and was put into the WRAG.
i was then moved into the support group without an assessment or a new ESA50.
i think it was because my DLA rate changed and i now meet one of the support group descriptors ( evidence sent with DLA form supported this)0 -

I'm sure it will be a battle overriding consultants letters by DM!
That's probably why most decisions are changed at tribunals.0 -
