Seriously, is it really worth it for a maximum investment of £3,000?
It certainly doesn't excite me at the moment, but it might do others...........

When you've put your £3k in the NS&I Investment Bond you might want another one for the rest of your life-savings. Handily, the top search result from Google is for an Investment Bond which will accept deposits of £250k courtesy of Castle Trust:eek:. Fantastic marketing for them.

This gives a cracking return of £66 a year. Or £36 a year more than similar competing easy-access savers.
I wonder who is the target customer for this.
  • Somebody who's desperate for £30 per year?

That will fund an extra pint of beer every month, nearly.
    Excellent

My competing easy access account pays 3%, somewhat better than this as well as giving me full current account facilities with instant access, cash and VISA debit card.

Maybe use Halifax? Then you can get £36 without tying your money up at all.

People can wait until this time next year: by then the interest might look good or it might look woeful.
Free the dunston one next time too.
