    Could MSE write to OFCOM and get the same 49 day rule for the end of mobile contracts. They add a termination fee even if you only give notice within the contract term, but it finishes outside the minimum term.

    You can apply to switch at any point during a fixed-term contract without having to pay exit fees, as long as the switch is actually completed during the switching window.
    At last, a confirmation of what the Standard Licence Conditions actually say. Regrettably, Ofgem doesn't understand its own Licence Conditions.

    According to previous reports on this issue, Ofgem have told MSE and MSE has reported to us that you may have to pay exit charges if you apply to switch before the switching window starts.
