I should perhaps amend my post from "the majority" to many.
I feel that statement is justified as several major players such as Barclays, Halifax & NatWest only offer cash deposits via PO through paying in slip on current accounts.
All the details are on the link I posted.

Barclays, Halifax and NatWest aren't major players here.
Clydesdale and Santander probably have a bigger market share.
Barclays only provided Post Office access in England & Wales.I should perhaps amend my post from "the majority" to many.
