MSE News: HMRC says you only get a Concentrix lump sum if tax credits were stopped

It would appear this way of repaying arrears is the standard way they do it for tax credits now.

Despite informing HMRC back in July that my eldest was continuing in non-advanced education we still had 3 weeks where we were down around 50 a week, once sorted we are only getting a few pound a week more rather than the full arrears.

Annoying for us and has stretched us this month, but can see if the reduction was for much more or you relied on the tax credits much more this will make life very difficult
