Prices are creeping up, as the oil price recovers.
I would just get a nice fix and stay put.
They are going to be able to do 21 day switches simply because nobody is switching, because any tariff is going to more expensive than the fix they are on.0 -
When I first started to switch it was to minimise the increase in cost as total annual expenditure never went down. We have had a good period of time where prices have gone down and it would be unrealistic to expect that to continue forever.
So rising wholesale prices in US Dollars, Sterling currency value decreasing against the dollar, so I'm expecting retail prices to rise across the board for the foreseeable future.
If I switched today, I would be required to spend more money so it is already happening,0 -
Got a 2 year fix with Scottish Power which is cheapest on the market for me with no exit fee.
If a better fix comes up I'll look at it but I can just ignore all the promos and advertising for a couple of years.0 -

8 months on from group switching with MSE Cheaper Energy Club and EOn still can't show or accept my readings online as they claim "we have not received all the correct information from the previous supplier, Scottish power when you switched to us in October".
Commitments mean little in this industry. Apply an automatic £40 fine for each individual breach and watch them clean up their acts.0 -

This is certainly taking a lot longer than I would've expected. Do you know what it is we're waiting for?
With a switch, electronic messages pass between the two suppliers and third parties like the regional distributors, meter operators, meter reading agents, national databases etc. These messages are used to let all those involved with your energy supply know about the changed circumstances. I'm aware of an issue we've had for quite a time with delays in receiving certain messages from SP. To be honest, I thought this had been resolved but I could be wrong.
Are we actually supplying you and it's a matter of not being able to use our online services as you should? If it is, I suspect you could be suffering from this issue. If you drop an email to the address in my Profile, I'll be happy to take a look. Not saying I can sort this any quicker but I can, at least, identify the hold up.
