    Just tried on mine. Showing 100% for MBNA cards and 95% for LBG group card.

    My other half 90% on MBNA cards and 70% on other cards.

    From the FAQs on the Elig. Check:

    It’s worth noting that pre-approval is not a cast-iron guarantee that you’ll get the card. In exceptional circumstances you could be declined for other reasons – the bank still has to carry out some checks for identity and fraud purposes, and there’s a very small chance some will fail on these.

    So whilst it may return a 100% result (for example) you'd still have to complete a hard search to see what's what....
    It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

    Exactly, mse are being disingenuous in a way that they would be making huge press of should another body be doing this.

    I don't believe their statement that people will only be declined on the basis of identity or fraud, though it's a convenient get out clause.
