Quote to brickup an exterior doorway

Hello All,
How much would it cost to brickup an exterior doorway ( external Kitchen door) ? I have received a quote of 1000 £(with materials, 1.5 days work ) from a builder to fill the doorway with a 9 inch cavity wall. Is 1000£ too expensive?

We had ours done about 6 weeks ago, it cost £400. That as for taking old door out, putting in breeze blocks in the "hole" and then bricking up externally with bricks to match the outside of our house- in simple terms.
That did not include the cost of plaster board and skimming for inside- however was part of a bigger job (whole house being re-modelled).Finally dealing with debt: 01.01.2015 -£10,562.:(
