Hi everyone,
I've got something a bit different for you all today!
The following is from BBC Radio 5 live.
Can you believe it? Martin’s been doing the weekly slot on BBC Radio 5 live for five years this month! It started in July 2010, and, amazingly, the first item commented on was the Bank of England holding its interest rates again at 0.5%. At the time, he predicted to John Inverdale that that would continue for “a good deal of time yet”, but perhaps no one imagined five years.
To celebrate, 5 live are doing a Money Special next Monday all about personal finance – the highs and lows of the past five years, as well as looking ahead to what the future holds.
And 5 live wants to get some of you on air to tell your stories. If you are available in London on Monday 27 July at midday, and you’ve got a story of becoming debt free, or winning a battle with a company or bank, or perhaps still struggling to get money back and having no joy – whatever your story about your personal finances – BBC Radio 5 live would like to hear from you. Email 5liveDaily@bbc.co.uk to find out more.
And don’t forget to listen to BBC Radio 5 live from 10am on Monday 27 July to hear more from Martin – you can listen online for free at bbc.co.uk/5live.
