  • I don't know why MSE insists on posting such "news" on the forum. The Banks have been regularly setting aside extra money to pay PPI redress for literally years now..

Does anyone still read these 'news' articles?

I literally only read them so that I can click through to the forum and see if anyone has posted a 'who cares?' post, so that I can nod sagely in agreement, or if I'm feeling so inclined, to follow in their footsteps.

I just read the thread title personally; certainly didn't click the link to the article.

I ended up in the forum the other way - clicking on the link at the bottom of the news article. I try and read all the news articles that appear on the right hand side of the MSE homepage, in the mistaken belief that there might be something 'new' or 'newsworthy' in said 'news'.

Why should anyone receive a letter from the Bank about this? They've simply set aside extra money to pay for PPI redress..

The only people affected by this are Bank shareholders..
