:beer::beer:“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

well we are used to things reaching at time 'peak' prices
our government actually targets inflation as a virtuous thing, so it's common for ordinary goods and services to reach a new all peak most months
so not really surprising that house price are at a new all peak
just remember you have heard it first here :
there will be many many more all time peak prices over the coming months and years0 -
Looks like, house prices are not going to drop now, even if the 0.25% interest rate hike comes after 8-10 months.0

They should really try the propaganda approach more.
It's your patriotic duty to re-populate Cornwall.
Emigrate to Australia for that frontier experience.
London is full of MRSA and Ebola virus, because so many foreigners turn up from infected areas. Get out before it's too late.0 -
To be fair, an outbreak of ebola might push London prices down a bit.0

Haringey up 32%.
Those that took the Wood Green tip from me owe me a big beer.

:beer:Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0 -
26% on a year ago, but 1% rise in June is probably one of the lowest for years. There is also 26% (cant remember source) more property for sale than a year ago, although such rubbish!
When they say mortgage lending is the lowest for a year- http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/cooling-uk-mortgage-lending-drops-near-one-year-low-1452285
what does that mean? Most number of rejected applications for a year, or falling applications.0 -
considering we've had a recession the housing market doesn't seem to have been affected. house prices in my area in Manchester only dropped about 10% and have been climbing steadily back up.
the only houses that dropped massively where £500k plus ones.0 -

Im surprised it has taken so long, all the talk you would think they would be way above the price from 7 years ago. But no they are only a little above.
For the last 7 years you would have been better off in the stock market or almost anywhere else.0 -
Evidently my flat must have missed the memo. Paid £103k for it in 2008 - it's now on the market with home report valuing it at £77k...0
