That's what Ebay bought it for.

Sharks. They have got there way with the free postage now. Everybody will have to put up the price of the goods to cover the extra fees. People who are selling things at 99p with free postage will now be out of pocket. There is no alternative really though if you want to sell things but I hate them.

People who have been selling with free postage will not be hit by this change.

There's no such thing as "free postage" ;) They were already paying 10% of it to eBay.

  • Why is free postage so important to some of you? Take the price of the article, postage costs and how much you want it into account. If you still want it buy it, if not- move on. Don't expect sellers to subsidise your wants, needs or dreams.

They're one of the few who will not see a difference, if anything with other changes they will be better off.

I really don't get why people think Ebay is the only place to sell stuff, it's only been around 12 years. People have been flogging stuff off since Adam tried to shift a load of apples down Eden market.

If on the off chance a buyer wants to return an item because they 'Bought in error', then instead of the seller having to refund at least 80% of item price only, if they sent it 'Freepost', the seller would be refunding 80% of what it cost to post out, to the buyer. Having spent that on postage, I will never offer Freepost. It might say I'm a MS newbie, but I have working extra ways to save cash for nearly 60 years, many ideas pop up on here like it's something new!

    Correct.

However, the poster was saying that sellers of 99p items with free postage would be 'now be out of pocket', which is not true as they've already been paying FVF on their inclusive postage for some time. Some are now actually seeing savings on what they were paying based on lower category fees in some areas.
