Nuisance phone calls -some good news

Just found out that the mob currently featuring on BBC (The Call Centre) have been fined £225,000 by ICO - One of their numbers called me today (01792357159) - with an unwanted message about grants for new boilers - I've reported them to ICO -Hopefully the first of many to complain - then they are on their way to their next fine!!!!!

I had a phone call yesterday from a cold call elimination firm saying I could buy a device of them that plugs into my phone socket that would stop all cold calls getting through
the cost would be £74.99

Sure - I paid extra and went down the TrueCall route. I no longer get any marketing calls, just those from people I know.

Accept that does not work for everyone and even bona fide companies can and do cold call even when your registered with TPS for many years
I always report cold callers to Information Commissioner and TPS even though I block them as I want these companies fined I recently reported Scottish Power whoi have bene told off before by ICJust go to TPS Online and register, no more cold calls.0
