Hot lemon water

Does anyone have hot lemon water in the mornings? What ratio water:lemon do you use? I have looked on google but all say different things!

I do, I just put a slice of lemon in the mug. I keep topping up with water until the lemon no longer tastes of anything.

My sister in Spain daily uses half a lemon squeezed into a cup then topped up with hot water. My husband has also started trying this. I prefer a slice only in a cup of water topped up when required. My sister says she has never had a cold since she started this , but it hasn't made any difference to my husband's health.

I do the same, a slice of lemon with hot water poured over. I stir in a spoonful of honey as well.

Ah, Honey and Lemon, ancient medicine yet still two of the best.
A half lemon, teaspoon honey and a touch of ginger should do the trick.

Wouldn't call it a medicine meself.

I splodge some concentrated juice in the bottom of a mug and top it up. Job done :)

Yep - that's why I only use a tiny splodge to give some flavour :)

I drink the juice from a freshly squeezed lemon most mornings and i feel so much better for doing so.

Only downfall is i have to sweeten it with sugar.

I have lemon squeezed into green tea. Ideally I'd love an Earl Grey with fresh milk...but apparently my stomach doesn't like me doing this so I have to stick to non-milk types of tea. I've tried the "Green Tea & Lemon" types but they just don't taste strong enough.

I have a very small cup, holds about 250mls I think. Once I've made the tea I cut a lemon into quarters and take one quarter. I squeeze half of that quarter and leave the other half for the next day/cup. Its normally quite strong and I've no desires to make it any stronger.

I have tried with honey in the past which did taste really nice but my teeth just felt like they were being fried all day!
