HELP PlusNet not Cancelling line in old house

Hi
We recently moved rented house and we called up PlusNet at the end of last month who told us that the phone line would be cancelled on the 20/05/2013 however still today i can ring the number and it is still active which i am concerned about now as i know that a new tennant moves in tomorrow what can i do i have rung plusnet tons of times and they just keep saying it will we cancelled but it never seems to happen.

The line may still work but if you have confirmation of the cancellation any further charges are not your problem.0
