How to make rubber gloves last a lot longer

I've discovered a way to make rubber gloves last a lot longer. After leaving gloves out next to the sink the fingers would stick together (the rubber was deteriorating and melting) even sometimes after one week and I would be getting through many pairs.
So now after the washing up has been done I rinse the fingers of the gloves under the tap (to remove any soap), towel dry them and place them in the fridge. They go inside the fridge door. The pair I am using currently I have had for many months and they are still going strong. I make sure my fridge is not too cold (no icing up). The gloves are not cold when I put them on and they soon warm up anyway with the hot washing up water.
I'm now saving myself at least £5 a year on rubber gloves!:)

Also the temperature of the hot water from your tap will have a significant impact on how long the gloves last. If the water temperature is too hot, the rubber will perish faster and begin to stick. As you say, keeping the gloves cool and away from sunlight will improve longevity of the rubber. If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!
