Just saw a post on a Polish forum that a courier transporting a dog from Poland to UK - left a dog tied up to some bushes in France.

The owner, Polish person living in UK went to France but could not find the dog.

I have no details as yet what dog/etc.

Does anyone know if France has an equivalent of DOgs Lost page????

Thanks a lot

  • Well, Lost Dog is Chien Perdu in French. Might be worth doing a search on that.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

This a photo of the dog left by a Polish "courier" in France:

    10csxaf.jpg

Dog is friendly, French Police/Shelters have been notified - dog was left by the entrance to Eurotunnel, near some roundabout apposite the KFC.

Anyone got friends/relatives living near by and can help?

That is the same courier that left Hera in Kent by M20 in 2011. Luckily Hera was in UK and dog lost helped a lot to find her, This dog was left in France which makes things much more complicated...
  • There is a Facebook page called Central Canine Collective Uk, might be worth posting on there as some rescues who bring dogs from Romania etc may well have contacts in the area. Also look at the Rosie's Rehome page & Nobody Dogs @ Norton Heath FB page (they do bring dogs from Romania). Also check these out http://www.dogrescuecarcassonne.co.uk/links.html, http://poitoucharentes.angloinfo.com/information/family/pets/lost-and-found-pets/

Also worth contacting Doglost for advice.

It might help a potential finder of the dog to know whether he will understand English commands like Sit, Stay, Come here, good boy etc. or if he was trained only using Polish words?

It is a polish dog through and through.....

Lots of people involved via FB - hope they find him.

This particular "courier" left here, my friend's GS alone by a motorway in Dover in 2011.

Perhaps there was not enough warnings about him on the interent.. sigh...

Hope Brzoza (dog's name) is found safe and well...
