Are the airline's own strikes 'extraordinary circumstances' as the article implies?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

"Borrowers who find themselves locked out of mainstream credit are drowning in a vicious cycle of high-cost loans..."
Oh, MSE Guy... *tut tut*"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

Imagine if this was:
Passengers stranded as Ryanair axes flight without warning after Iberia strike
There would be about 20 replies by the BA massive telling us how we deserved it for choosing such a punctual, cheap, efficient airline0 -
Thats a misleading headline worthy of the DM!
Seems BA did warn the passengers that they were able to contact directly and agents where bookings had been by that route.
The victim Stephen doesnt mention why he didn't get the message and even when he couldn't check in online it didn't ring any alarm bells.
In fact the whole story is worthy to be in the DM.0 -
A few points
This is BA Cityflier which is a separate company to BA Mainline (Mainline generally fly from Heathrow & Gatwick)
The only BA Mainline aircraft to use London City are the two business class only 36 seaters on the New York flights
The largest aircraft Cityline use is an Embraer E190 which carries around 110 passengers and certainly not a Boeing 747 as pictured, so the 150 figure may have been a bit of an exaggeration!
Sorry MSE but this inaccurate reporting is more of what I would expect from some tabloids0
