    The real important thing to remember is the service you get! I switched to nationwide as my main bank account after Barclays twice resurrected a cancelled standing order & also took 3 years to be persuaded that MY wife as a non tax payer should get her half of the interset on a saving account tax free. It took an email to their HQ to persuade the local manager of this !!

    Why doesn't this article mention the top rate, Lloyds with Vantage 3% AER, under the section "Here is what you'd get elsewhere"?

    Maybe because TSB didn't give Martin any money to be featured in the article ?

    Or maybe the writer forgot about TSB, or maybe TSB requested to be left out.
