Yep, it's broken at the moment.
Although I can log in to their mobile site using my Andriod phone: https://m.santander.co.uk/.0 -

And, as if by magic, it's back again; although it did ask for a security question and seems a little sluggish.0 -
I experienced this problem too - between 8.20 and 9.20pm. It was 'hanging', sometimes coming up with the 'unobtainable' message - but it was never actually 'offline'. Finally managed to complete transfers desired without needing to call anyone......under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0
