Oh quite like the idea but could well be very risky if someone get holds of the code somehow or by accident.0

True - but actually this is, technically, nothing new - it's an extension of a service they already provide (whereby if you lost your card / had it stolen you could call up and get the code from them)
Therefore, most security issues will probably have already been identified and closed up.
Gets my thumbs up anyway!0 -
And, thinking about it, it could actually help cut card crime, as people will no longer be able to see you enter your PIN and then distract you whilst they steal your card so they can raid your account.
Someone standing over your shoulder at the ATM? Who cares!
(of course, they could still take your cash, so keep 'em at arms length)

Seems yet another limited gadgety thing for smartphone junkies! How much extra effort is it to take a card which which weighs a few grams? You could place it with your phone.
I thought they were handing contactless payment strips you can attach to mobiles? It would seem to be better idea to integrate this system with the servicetill so you could use it to get money.0 -

Maybe it will let you use a friend's phone to get the code as well. You could just stick your card to your phone though.
Maybe HSBC will let you use the secure key thing to withdraw cash as well.0 -
I see Ulsterbank has been forgotten about again. They should just sell that part of the group, they obviously have no Interest in it.
Has had a minor spelling mistake on the site for 2 years.0
