Does not explaining the zero spring balance policy to new customers classify as misselling?
There is no clue in the article but I do wonder0 -
So the regulator fines them all and then they all put up their prices to recoup the fine. That's really going to teach those nasty energy suppliers a lesson, isn't it?
Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

You're forgetting the most important part! The fine will be equivalent to 0.1% of their total years profits. Of course they will pass this on to consumer with a 5% increase.0 -
Damned if they don't....damned if they do.
Your suggestions?0 -
British Gas came to service my boiler on Monday. As the engineer was getting ready to leave he asked me about not having British Gas as my provider. I told him i'm on a contract elsewhere, but perhaps I should have let him carry on with the conversation to see where it went. Are BG engineers on a commission for any sales leads they generate?0

Actually one of the few impressive things I've spotted from Ofgem is the thing they did recently with EDF where instead of the fine going into the general fund it actually did some good. EDF still claimed (on rather flimsy grounds) that they hadn't been fined.Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.0
