It works both ways - there can be, and is, miscomplaining as well as misselling and both are economically damaging.0 -
Yes there it was - something about 'miscomplaining' - now there's a thought ... 'I'm sorry but many of you haven't complained correctly and I shall therefore report you all for economically damaging my financial services firm.'
Its not that they will report you. They can go after you for damages and costs. Banks are unlikely but small firms may well do.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I have been following the PPI thread for a while now, and in my own humble opinion, I have found the contributions by Dunstonh and Magpiecottage to be helpful, balanced and grounded. Personally, I'm grateful for their posts.0

Please can some one advise back in 2001 i took a loan out with hsbc with ppi that i did not need. i lost my job in 2003 i was denied a claim so had to pass loan over to metropolitan collection service who helped me clear the loan which final payment was 2007. Hsbc passed the whole debt over to the collection service and ppi. I do not have the original loan agreement but i do have the quote and proof that i was paying off debt to hsbc. I HAVE MADE A CLAIM VIA A PPI SPECIALIST but hsbc closed the case as they claim they can find no account with a loan evidence was provided with my bank account number and the payments i was making to collection services for them .In November 2012 hsbc closed the claim and said as i have said above. Can some advise if i have anyway of getting my ppi back many thanks0
