I'm certainly not defending these companies' actions, but would someone who got roped into this thing really have a Section 75 claim? The terms and conditions were there, albeit written in small print and hard to find, and the company has delivered, so what Section 75 claim would somebody have?
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.

I would also question the Section 75 claim on the basis of the sum involved - it's less than £100.

For most of these scams the terms and conditions state that the customer gets a 14 day trial period starting from the day they order the snake oil but the product will take 5-7 business days to arrive. When the fortnight is up the customer/mark will be charged £80+ per month, usually on a continuous payment authority.

The big problem though is that these so called trials are practically impossible to cancel. There'll either be a Freephone number that nobody answers or an email contact that nobody replies to.

I also fell for this scam, and I am usually very careful with these kind of advertisements; but the fact that it was only £2.99 for a sample I thought i'd give it a go. I was gob smacked to find out I had subscribed to an ongoing supply of all 3 products, Rivita Derm, Rejuvanew and Perfect Radiance the total monthly cost almost £200. I asked to return the products as they were unopened but the company would not let me. I contacted Barclay's who basically did nothing! I have cancelled my subscriptions by email and received confirmation. But I don't trust the company so I cancelled my credit card to make absolutely sure they could not take any more cash from my visa account! Incidentally I have since used the products, thought I might as well as they cost me a small fortune. I was 53 when I started using them and I still look 53, so after all that the products don't work. But then ladies do any of them???????
  • I too feel for this scam. Thought it was too good to be true! However, links provided on this site meant I was able to get in touch with the company, and they agreed (after a little pressure) to fully refund the £200 they took from me. I kept checking my bank account as I didn't really beleive them....but lo and behold I was refunded after three days. I've also cancelled ny debit account so they can't take any more!

Could have been a very expensive lesson.
  • I am also a victim and have had £154.94 taken out of my account, I've called them today and they have said they have cancelled my account but i cant return the products for a refund as its after 16 days. I paid on my credit card, is there any way i can claim this back?? Help!
  • Yep. Been caught too! The terms and conditions are hidden. I could not find them when I went back. However by googling the Linlithgow PO Box, there is a huge page of the terms and conditions which I would never have missed. I had 3 amounts of £79.99, £74.95 and £51.00 taken. They answered the phone immediately and after a long discussion they have (allegedly) cancelled my 'order'!! Also they have said they will refund within 7 - 10 days. I'm not holding my breath. My credit card company told me not to cancel my card as it may not be able to help me if they take more money, and it would take 6 months to reapply for a new one. As my bill is over £100 - where do I stand?

Just happpened to look today, dont know why but decided to check my bank as I recieved more of these products yesterday that I didnt order. When first appyling for the trial I noticed the 16 day period in the terms and conditions. I navigated awway from the page only for it to flash up an extra window asking if we would like to continue by offering cheaper postage. However the terms and conditions then flashed as page error, so how can we enter into something we are unable to see !!! I have cancelled my debit card at the bank, does anyone know if the company have a different 16 digit no and security code then will they still be able to take payments. The bank said this should stop them. Has anyone still had money taken after they have cancelled a Debit not Credit card. Contact details for the company seem scrappy and when u ring u get through to a foriegn person who follows the script like various mobile phone companies, and does not or cannot deviate from it. Can anyone help as ive been stung for about £150 in two months and as we are a family with 4 kids and an elderly mother it is money I can ill afford. Thanks
  • I emailed the companies stating that they have no authorisation to take any further sums from the card, and also phoning the card company to say I have done this, but if they could block any further requests as I read on the internet that these companies are billing whatever the situation.
