Hi
I clicked Google Ad link which took me to...
usedcars-warehouse dot com (cant use a proper url in a forum message)
There are some pretty attractive bargains there but didnt feel comfortable pursuing anything until I'd checked it out further.
Does anyone have experience of this company or know of any horror stories?
I didnt want to provide them with free promotion by posting the above address but thats only way I can refer to them.
Thanks for any info.

Domain only registered a few days ago?
Talk of hundreds of cars purchased but only a few listed?
Full payment required before delivery?
Very dodgy...0 -
cars are repossessions and may be liable for import duty as some come from spain, im no expert on that though so it may not apply coming from within europe
youll have to get a mot, and register it in the uk, although they say they help with these.
insurance can be a pain for non uk cars, or grey imports as they are known an many insurers wont cover them
not too bad, if you know what youre doing
this however puts me off

i also found on companies house no LTD company of that name, despite their web claims they are a limited company. closest i found was
THE USED CAR WAREHOUSE LLP
UNIT 7 CHETTLES TRADE PARK
ILKESTON ROAD
NOTTINGHAM
NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
NG7 3AG
Company No. OC365816
yet they say
Our company is located in Isle of Man: 54 Castle Court Apartments Farrants Way, Castletown Isle Of Man, IM91PE, United Kingdom. Phone: 01623 276 997.
That area code 01623 covers Mansfield in the county of Nottinghamshire.
http://www.theusedcarwarehouse.co.uk/ is the company based at the above address.
not saying that is linked to it, but even that was only recently created.
From the text typos, the "americanized" style of language, eg repos, it just doesnt add up as right
either way, avoid would be my advice0 -
Thanks for your quick replies guys.
Just the sort of info I needed.
Yes all looks very dodgy indeed.
16k for a very nice looking DB9 certainly got my heart a flutter. Guess I'll just have to dream on... :^)
Cheers

Experience is likely to be,
Your going to send money to some stranger who registered the website in the US,
Claims to be based in the Isle of Man, Yet have a nottingham phone number.
Before you decide, I have some magic beans that will bring you luck in money matters.
Although you may need to buy in bulk for this sort of transaction.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I've had a quick word with a friend who is a Trading Standards Officer and he basically said avoid.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

I know the people that live at the listed Isle of Man address, and I can definitely confirm that no cars are for sale there! They have been contacted and warned by the islands Financial Supervision Commission about the use of their home address.
This website is definitely a scam - BEWARE!!!!0 -
Alarm bells definitely ringing with me:
http://usedcars-warehouse.com/2008-bmw-3-series-320d-m-sport-red.html
Three year old BMW 320d M Sport 22,000 miles for £7,700?
Even at bottom book trade, you're looking at £12,000The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
