Call queue phoning tesco bank

Another day dawns, still no solution from Tesco and yet another hour-long unanswered call to customer services.
BUT, Looking elsewhere for other posts I came across what appears to be a work-around if your problem is as an IE user. It certainly worked for the poster on ComputerworldUK and also for me when I tried it. I hope it works for any other readers.
The answer use Firefox! Downloaded it and went straight to in to my account, no problems - though having Tesco bank initially crash on me on Monday morning (just as I neared completion of the new security details) the bank did not recognise my computer as my regular, registered computer and I had to apply for a one-time security code to be sent to my mobile. Did that, entered it and all worked OK. Phew. Now why couldn't Tesco put this info. on their banking web-site home page and also add it to the helpline pre-recorded message. Simples?
I guess that the IT professionals (I use the term lightly) need some training in the latest Internet Explorer technology - especially as this has been out for some time and that the change to the new banking system started at least 2 year's ago (at least that was what I was told when I opened my savings account in May 2009).
Anyway, hope this helps some readers to overcome their problems. Give it a try.0 -

My wife has been trying to get through to TescoBank since Monday - at least 4 x 1 hour phone calls.......has given up each time after that.
I sent an Email to their Communications / Press team and received a reply from Stewart.Tweedlie@i.tescobank.com - apparently he is part of the Exec Complaints Team. He promised someone would call my wife back yesterday --- guess what - no call back.
Beseige him with Emails and see if that makes any difference!
I have also EMailed BBC WatchDog and the FSA -- don't think it will make much difference - but it helped me!!!!0 -
There is an issue with IE9 -- if you are running IE9 you need to log in to tesco bank website, press 'Alt and T' - then go down to Compatability Settings and accept Tesco Bank and make sure all 3 other boxes are checked.
This should sort it.
My thanks to Tracey at Tesco Bank for talking me through it.
Finally got there.0 -
well so far I have been on the phone 4 times for an hour before being cut off .I still cannot log in or speak to anyone. I actually needed to transfer money for a house purchase on Tuesday which I still have not done.
I am having to use a mobile which so far has cost me £69.00 and have gone past my credit limit .
I attempted to go into a local store to fax ( as you cannot email) and believe it or not Tesco stores or head office do not possess a fax!! When I get my money back I will never shop in Tesco again0
