That's good new for anyone who doesn't know that you can typically just transfer the money out and back in again as many times as it takes to reach the minimum requirement for money paid in. A second current account somewhere else for bills or a savings account getting the best rate can be convenient for this.0

The problem with this article is that it doesn't take into account other payroll deductions that may be made such as pension contributions, student loans etc. As this comes straight off your paypacket, one will have to earn more that the figures quoted in the article to reach the £1000/£1500 threshold required to get the top accounts.0
