Viz have been doing money-saving tips for years. How about this one, from their Top Tips column a few years ago:
Save money on expensive tea bags! Just collect the empty packets from your After Eights, fill them with loose tea, and using a pin, make 2000 little perforations in each bag. Seal the tops with 'sellotape and hey presto! Tea bags!0 -

I'd forgotten about Viz top tips - I've just googled a few...
- avoid paying for the increase in the cost of petrol by getting out & pushing your car for the last 1/2 mile of every trip
- get around the VAT increase by only buying books, food, caravans and drugs.
- allow your toddlers to experience a day in the life of George Osbourne by placing them in charge of your personal finances.0 -
