If you could cope with a bag I'd go for a Henry everyday, I've owned 3 different dysons, a vax and a hoover and none of them touch my Henry!

O H complains that Dyson are vastly overrated and overpriced.

If that is of any help to you!
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

    Good old Henry for me.
Robust, does exactly what you want it to do.
Lasts for years with no loss of power.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

my vote goes to Sebo uprights. Their an industrial vacuum cleaner company, but make one model (I think) for the domestic market. Had one for years - still going strong. Was 'Which' hoover of the year (few years ago though)

I have the Russell Hobbs vac with the Dalmation-like spots. It has great suction and as a bonus the instruction manual was written by a rather humorous human being. I got it in Argos and it's brilliant.

I LOVE love love my Miele, and their service is the best I've ever experienced.....the only downer is it's greedy for bags....and genuine ones are dear:(
