No ..... this isn't a post promoting Russian Mail Order Brides !!
Now that Virgin Media's PC Guard is powered by Kaspersky is it any good ?
(currently using Avast + other usual suspects)
The following info is from Virgins site and I qualify for the full package (all free) but don't want to change if it's still poor at detecting viruses etc.
Includes ~ Anti-Virus, Firewall, Anti-Spyware, Pop Up Blocker, Privacy Manager, Identity Theft Protection & Parental Control.
Any opinions ? (stupid question I know!)
Ta, Jac.

The addition of the Kaspersky anti-virus and spyware engine to PCguard represents a significant step forward in the level of protection offered to Virgin Media customers. In fact PCguard now ranks amongst the best PC Security Products on the market today.
So whats new?
And it’s security you can trust. PCguard has been tested and certified by top, independent security experts.
The world's top security companies submit their products to ICSA Labs for testing and certification. To be awarded the ICSA Labs certification, a product must correctly detect all spyware in the test environment. And PCguard does just that! PCguard achieved ICSA Lab’s high standards set for anti-virus protection by detecting and preventing the replication of viruses.
Checkmark is the world's fastest growing certification system for information security products and services. Unlike other certification programmes, Checkmark is tested by live users – a group of senior IT security professionals in major corporate organisations around the world. This means that standards and accreditation criteria reflect what real computer users need.
