Where to put my money?!

Hi guys,
I'm a little confused about where my money is best off being.
I'm looking for just a little savings account, nothing major, that I can flit a bit of money into (I'm looking at around 30-40pounds a week) to keep for a rainy day, for the car breaking down, for sudden bills etc etc. So ideally, I'd like it to be a an account I can whip money out of fairly sharpish if I need to.
I currently bank with Lloyds but have a little bit of outstanding debt on a credit card with them and I don't fancy them dipping into my savings to try and take that money while I'm sorting it out other ways (to cut a long story short, I'm refusing to pay while they sort out the fact that my credit card was stolen and the bills ran up on it a week after I rang to cancel. Apparently I never rang so am responsible for the bill!!) My understanding is that they can take money from any of my other Lloyds account (as they have been doing from my current account) to pay the outstanding debt.
So where can I put my money? Is an ISA the best place? And if so, is there really a "best" ISA or are they all pretty much as good as each other?
