Are savings bonds covered just like savings accounts?

Hi I am wishing to put some somey into 1,2,3 year saving bonds with either firstave or kedge.....35k in each.

Are they covered like for like , ie up to 35k just like a regular account , or is there different rules for savings bonds like these?

The term "bonds" for these accounts is usually a bit confusing - "fixed-rate, fixed-term savings account" would be more accurate. AFAIK they're treated exactly the same as other savings accounts.
