Help with Parking Charge Notice

Hi, I received a parking charge notice from Horizon Parking as our car was parked in the Sainsbury's cark park. I had dropped my wife off outside and went to park as we were going to Crayford dogs which is right opposite. As I have always parked in Sainsbury's car park I had no idea about Horizon Parking - I was not told about this from Sainsbury's (when my wife returned to join me in the queue) or by Crayford dogs when I entered. Further investigation was that these fines were only brought in a month ago, and we have not been to Crayford dogs for some time and was not aware of these changes. I have since been reading your posts and have sent Horizon Parking a 1st appeal letter today and I'm waiting for a reply. Is this correct procedure?
Thanks,
D

Was there a sign in the car park that you would have reasonably seen?0

Well done for finding mse. Was your 1st appeal like one in #1 of the newbies stickies? You'll also know from your in-depth reading that mitigation is of no interest to anyone in these parking event fairy tales[and NEVER write 'f---; again for this fake invoice]
So long as you did not give away who was driving and punchily required a POPLA code in the event of rejection, wait for reply [prob. rejection, as you'll have gathered]and check a popla code is [a] present, valid.
But DO COMPLAIN to Sainsburys: if they hired the thugs[ex in-house at that!], they are responsible for their activities.

Yes then you can win at POPLA by following an example from post #3 of the sticky thread.
These are not fines!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

There was no sign visible that I could see. I will wait for the response and see what Horizon say.0

I received a letter in the post from Horizon Parking about my "stay" in a sainsbury's car park. I have sent them a letter via the newbie thread and I will no doubt receive a letter from them shortly.
Once I receive it back and they have ignored my letter, I should contact POPLA and explain to them - right? After than I guess it will depend on what POPLA say which will determine what step I need to take after. I am doing this right?
Thanks,

Obviously yes because the Newbies sticky thread tells you so, and in post #3 tells you with examples, How to win at POPLA. And we win 100% of the time so there is no question of: ''After than I guess it will depend on what POPLA say which will determine what step I need to take after.''
Seriously you need to relax - we do this all the time and win ALL THE TIME.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
