You do what you already did - Ignore it totally.
See the current rash of Rossendales threads for why - Its a fishing exercise on old unpaid and unenforceable tickets, nothing more.0 -

Presumably your letter is just like the one I posted a picture of?
Anyway, ignore the letter.0 -
The scum are obviously sending out lots of these, and many people will pay up. What might be the best mass-communication approach to get the message across not to pay (i.e. ignore)?
Twitter?
Facebook?
Contact Daily Mail?
Etc....0 -

I would make a complaint to ICO on this, keeping your data for 5 years is not reasonablekept for no longer than is absolutely necessaryused fairly and lawfully
Make a complaint

Rossendales have probably given Excel 30 bob for a Data disc with the names of all none payers in their system. They will then spend the price of a stamp, and no doubt they will harass a few into paying!
If you carry on ignoring them they will go away!0 -
I too have rec'd a letter from our friends and after reading the various threads have decided that I shall ignore letter.
However I am extremely annoyed that i have had to waste my time doing research on their tawdry organisation. I see both they and their Holding company (same registered company address) have a Twitter account so please feel free to post any advice you feel like giving them directly for the world to read. Please of course keep it factual. There are of course also various YouTube videos about their practices but I couldn't of course suggest linking these to their Twitter pages.
I am of course referring to the collection agency0 -
Hi Everyone
I too have received a debt collection letter from rosendales on behalf of EXCEL parking for a parking charge from the beginning 2010 so like others, is well over 4 years old. Rosendales no doubt have bought liability for allegedly "overdue" fines and are trying it on. Trouble is some people will be so frightened that they will no doubt be tempted to pay but dont.0 -
That's why they pull this stunt every so often, but liability is not proven until it goes to court, this will never get there, certainly not with Rossendales, and the fact that there is no keeper liability before October 2012. As I said make complaints to ICO over this, without complaints stuff like this will continueWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you.
