Unsecured loans & ppi

So this may seem a really silly question but all my loans have always been unsecured, so I never thought ppi applied to me until I got a cold call the other day.
They advised that I could still have been subject to ppi without my knowledge even though my loans were unsecure?
I'm I right in thinking this is rubbish or was the information on the cold call spot on???

Secured or unsecured only applies to whether it is secured against an asset. Not whether it had PPI or not.
You cannot have PPI added without knowledge. However, some people forget. Others dont read anything they sign and wouldnt know what they have.
