Want to be part of this year’s most exciting birthday celebrations? On June 27th, Nelson Mandela’s HIV/AIDS charity 46664 is hosting a concert in London’s Hyde Park to honour the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and icon of freedom, as he celebrates his 90th year.
CLOSER has teamed up with 46664 to offer readers the chance to win one of five pairs of general admission tickets or a pair of golden circle tickets for one of the most talked about events of the year.
46664 aims to raise awareness of the global fight against HIV/AIDS and address the underlying issues such as poverty, the lack of education, gender inequality, lack of access to health facilities and the denial of economic opportunities to those affected by the disease.
Artists invited to perform include Amy Winehouse, Razorlight, Sugababes, Leona Lewis, Queen + Paul Rodgers, Annie Lennox, Simple Minds, Andrea and Sharon Corr, Eddy Grant, Jamelia and Dame Shirley Bassey.
Joining them to celebrate the life of the world’s most respected statesman will be South African and African artists including Johnny Clegg, Sipho Mabuse, multi-South African Music Awards winner Loyiso, Kurt Darren, the Soweto Gospel Choir and Aids orphan choir The Children of Agape.
