Firstly, I guess you mean 2006?
I've read somewhere that you can infact purchase tickets in Barcelona throught the cash machines.
Now whether there is normally tickets available for every game and whether you need to have a spanish account to do this I don't know, but it might be worth investigating.
Sorry I couldn't help further, and if you do find a good way please post back as I would be interested in doing this at some stage.
I did email the club about 5 months ago asking how I could buy tickets but got no reply.
Good luck.0 -
Hi well, I steamed ahead, and phoned the club! the automatic voice directed me to their website - to find you have to be a barca member to get them online. After further searching, the cheapest one (and available) was via lastminute.com. similar price to club prices, and way cheaper than a lot of other sites. now to find a cheap hotel!!:j0

I went last year with 5 friends and actually brought the tickets from the stadium ticket office the day before the game - no problems. They were playing Real Mallorca and I would guess that if Deportivo aren't at the top, you'd have a good chance of getting tickets then. Don't use the touts outside the ticket office unless you have to - they told us there were no tickets left, but there were plenty. Remember the date and time of the game aren't finalised until about two - three weeks before.0

Don't buy them from anyone but the club as they all add their own % in, buying direct is the cheapest, as suggested wait until 14 days before when tickets are released to the general public and you can buy them online at their website, buy calling them up or even getting them on the day, European clubs tend to release tickets every few days to beat touts so you can pretty much always get a ticket. You will love it.
Re: hotel we actually stayed at an apartment, booked via www.rent4days.com
We stayed at an apartment for 6 on El born which is near Las Ramblas and the port so quite well located and very nice apartment, area is quite nice and trendy too, think we paid about £300 for 4 nights for all of us, would have spent that in a hotel a night easily, also ask them for a discount if you do book, I did and got about 40 euros off, if you need anymore advice or have any questions post back or PM me. HTH.2p off is still 2p off!0 -

It depends on the attractiveness of the game surely?
I did a Spanish Cup game against Betis and paid peanuts to get in through one of the old fellas outside, cheaper than buying a fresh ticket from the office. (They often don't have tickets, but they just get you past the perimeter onto the concourse and slip their mates on the turnstile a few Euro's)
Also, for bigger games like Madrid, you'd never get a ticket if you wait until 14 days before and aren't a member.
You'd be wise to go through an Agency if you want guaranteed admission. For instance, Barca v Madrid on April 2nd 2006 is already sold out on lastminute.com and they probably won't get any more. You can imagine that there'd be significant pre-sales to european agencies so less tickets to go to the general public nearer the time. This suits the club who want to get the pre-paid money in as soon as possible to please the bank manager.0 -
I have been to several games in Spain, and there are usually plenty of tickets on sale at the stadium. Only the big games sell out, and as Barcelona is the biggest ground in Europe that means once a season, v Real Madrid. Tickets v DLC should be plentiful.
It is true that you should bear in mind that the game v DLC is scheduled for the WEEKEND of 5/6/06. It is the Madrid derby that weekend too, so one or the other will be on the Saturday night. Kick-off times can be as late as 9.30pm.0 -
thans for the advice. In the end, I ordered via lastminute, who are 'nearly' as cheap as the club. Also now have a definite seat for four of us!! any one know of good cheap hotel / b&b in the town please!!:j0

I heard that Talk Sport are doing a trip for Real Madrid V. Barcelona on 20 November and was interested, but it looks like it'll be about £500 each and have been trying to finding a do-it-yourself option.
Flights from Gatwick to Madrid are about £84 each, just need to know where to get the tickets for the match and then work out some accomodation!!0 -
The weekend of El Derby will be pandemonium in Madrid. And you may need to know royalty in order to get tickets. You would do well to get a seat in a bar a mile from the ground!0
