Worst things about driving in London are:

    (1) The constantly changing speed limits and speed cameras which get obscured by vans, lorries etc so you're never sure of the limit when you pass a scamera.

    (2) The use of CCTV to enforce parking and traffic penalties. Twice this month I've appealed on my Dads behalf because he wasn't "stopped on double yellows" but stopped queuing in traffic.

Try not driving up their backsides and then you'd see.

As someone who's more used to roads like this the odd drive down to/round london can be quite "fun", but so long as it's first thing on a sunday morning before the roads get too busy

Ooh it's the irrepressible Conor drawn to this thread like a fly.

Conor, the point I was making about driving in London and missing speed limit signs is due the the nature of erratic drivers who change lanes at the drop of a hat. You have to focus much more on the road and for pedestrians in London than anywhere else. If I drive along an arterial route with several lanes I often follow the lorry driver who may drive slower but keeps a smooth pace and gets just as far as the traffic light racers.
