Nooo, don't give up, everyone posts a duplicate sometimes, even the experts.
I search by the url of the comp (the address starting http etc) - just copy and paste into the Search Forum box and check the results.
I tend not to copy the entire addy - as some sites change the pages throughout a comp.
Key word searches work well - although tricky when there are no unique words or phrases in the post, I found this one using 'y-designs' in the search box.

tis odd, this is the search result page that comes up when I type y-designs - obviously anything else with designs in it comes up too - but it narrows the threads so you can check if something is posted.
