Mark Warner has nine resorts based in Greece, Corsica, Sardinia, Egypt, Portugal and Mauritius, catering for families with children aged from 4 months to 17 years.
Abamar, Sardinia, is an adult-only centre outside school holidays and Paleros, Greece, is adult-only in September. The children’s clubs are included in the price, except for the Baby and Toddler 1 Clubs. The clubs operate six days a week. Qualified nannies care for the younger children in fully-equipped crèches. Activity programmes are run for the older children, all supervised by English-speaking staff.
These include an introduction to sailing and windsurfing with the waterfront team. For teens, the Indy Club is a place to meet up and make friends of their own age and enjoy water and land sports and also evening entertainment.
All resorts have the latest sailing and windsurfing equipment to suit all standards, from beginner to advanced, and all are Royal Yachting Association recognised training centres, for those who would like to gain a qualification. Waterskiing and wakeboarding, including tuition, is available on a pay-as-you-ski basis at selected resorts, all recognised by the British Waterskiing Federation.
Paleros in Greece offers free waterskiing due to the ideal conditions. Many of the resorts have tennis facilities, with free use of courts and coaches on hand for group or private tuition. San Agostino and Lakitira in Greece are home to the specialist tennis centres, with 21 courts between them. Most resorts have PADI diving schools and there are few finer locations than the Red Sea in Egypt. Other activities available are aerobics, water polo, volleyball, canoeing and mountain biking.
For those that prefer a more relaxed approach, all the Mediterranean resorts have a Viva health and beauty salon with treatments including massages, body wraps, facials, manicures and pedicures. Something for everyone!
