No need to talk to Egg. You can do the transfer yourself from your secure area...
Egg Money admin=>transfer a balance=>current account/overdraft.
My transfers generally take 3 days, ie action Mon, arrive Wed. Don't do a transfer today, because you'll lose interest whilst your money is in the BACS ether over the weekend (only £2, but it all counts!).
Not sure what you mean by your second question, so I'll try and cover both options...
BT values above £10K from an overdraft to Egg Money might be delayed whilst their 'card transactions' department make additional enquiries (which could involve them ringing you up).
Not sure what the max BT to Abbey is. Since they plagiarised many of the MBNA T&C's when they brought their cards back in house, it could be 95% of your credit limit?0 -
cheers even though when i do this

If you have a positive balance in your egg money account then you can tranfer any amount you like as its your money.
What Yorkshire boy is saying is that if you transfer more than £9999 out of your account it will take longer for the money to arrive in your current account as additional security measures are made by egg.
Also as the transfer takes 3 days then instigate it on a Monday or Tuesday so you dont hit a weekend.
In terms of the abbey card, I have one and was allowed to transfer 100% of my balance. However they offered me a BT with %0 fee, this was not the 0% card. It was the normal card and as long as I BT'd more than £1000 then there was no fee. Best bet is to ring CS and ask how much you can transfer. Do this after you have your CL and then make sure you won't go over your CL and incur any fees.
I'e transfered money from egg money to egg savings and can't recall what you have referred to. Have you by any chance any debt on the card which has therefore reduced your positive balance?0
