Nice rate but I'm over exposed to ICE, as it is.

    Damn!

I just opened a fixed rate savings account on the 25/04/08.... do you think i can move my funds over?

I went to phone them though saynoto0870 is currently down - anyone have a local number for them?
    edit

looks like the rate for the normal savings has dropped too... i thought they were keeping the rate for account holders and only new account holders were getting the lower rate?

    edit

saynoto0870 is backup... 0191 255 8377(icesave) now on hold... will see what they have say

I am so over icesave now. I also opened 2 1 year terms a couple of weeks ago and have been told I am stuck with it as is. Have to wait a year for both to mature but then I am out of there.

I've also got two 6-month-ers and one 1-year-er. But I'm going into my funds and doing another.

    this is just GREAT.

Unfortunately that's what fixed rate products are, you accept the contract at the application rate.
Much the same way as you change £100 into €s at say 1.20 next week it goes upto 1.30 you cannot go back to the post office and say I want my extra 0.10 worth.

Not a chance. The mainstream UK institutions either can't or won't compete.

    Which is it? Discuss. ;)
