WIN: NEVES on Nintendo DS

Neves on DS
The new DS audience loves simple, classic logic games – witness the smash-hit success of releases like Brain Training, Picross DS, and Sudoku. They’re all part of an age-old type of gaming that everyone can understand, made possible on handhelds for the first time by the touchscreen controls on the Nintendo DS. And you won’t find a more classic dynamic than Neves, a game based on the Tangram puzzle said to have originated over a thousand years ago.
In Neves the player is presented with seven shapes that must be fit together into a predetermined outline. All seven pieces – or ‘Tans’, as Tangram professionals prefer -- must be used, without any overlap. Outlines can be simple geometric shapes or more complex arrangements, like the shadow of an athlete. Understanding the task presented is easy; completing it is a challenge. And you’ll have to do an awful lot of completing because there are over 500 devious, creative puzzles within Neves, some of which take seconds to complete and some of which could leave you baffled for hours or days.
