These answers are VERY correct i have googly checked them¬!
    THANKS

    -EDIT*** oh hang on....

    found this
. The highest mountains of the Caribbean islands are on the island of Hispaniola
on https://www.peakware.com so that would be right?

but found this from carribean.co.uk: The Dominican Republic occupies more than half of Hispaniola, the second-largest Caribbean island. Travellers can indulge in a variety of activities; adventurers might seek out canyoning and windsurfing opportunities. Hikers can scale Pico Duarte, the Caribbean’s highest mountain at 10,000 feet.

i am confused. is Hispaniola part of dominican republic? looking at a map its not?
heehee would love to visit there to find out!!
    Thank you

    I GOT MY ANSWER FROM
The highest mountains of the Caribbean islands are on the island of Hispaniola
    http://www.peakware.com/areas.html?a=324

    BUT NOW STILL SEARCHING.....
    have changed it because:
Columbus discovered the island of Hispaniola (which he called La Espaniola) in 1492 and established it as his main base for the further exploration of the region. Today, the Dominican Republic shares the island with Haiti, a former French colony.

The more I read on the more confused i get.
here are fine mountains throughout the islands of the Caribbean Sea, including Jamaica's Blue Mountains, Cuba's Sierra Maestra, and Puerto Rico's rainforest-blanketed Sierra de Luquillo. The highest mountains of the Caribbean islands are on the island of Hispaniola, where high, isolated peaks rise above the landscapes on both the Haitian and Dominican sides of the island. The Dominican Republic is home to the Caribbean's highest peak, Pico Duarte (10,128 ft.). (source- http://www.peakware.com/areas.html?a=324)

i have bolded my confusion - sorry of confusing others?
    i neeed sleep:s
    Thank you

I have searched too and have come up with

you the chance to trek to Pico Duarte (3087 m), the highest mountain in the Caribbean.

and when you look up pico duarte it comes up with

    <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=2 width=400 border=2><TBODY><TR><TD width="100%" colSpan=2>
    Fact Box: Pico Duarte
    </TD></TR><TR><TD width="45%">Other Names/Spellings</TD><TD width="55%">
    Loma Pico Duarte, Pico Trujillo
    </TD></TR><TR><TD width="45%">Elevation (feet)</TD><TD width="55%">
    10,127
    </TD></TR><TR><TD width="45%">Elevation (meters)</TD><TD width="55%">
    3,087
    </TD></TR><TR><TD width="45%">Location</TD><TD width="55%">
    Dominican Republic
    Caribbean
    </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

so i would say the answer to 3 is Dominican Republic

not sure if this helps or adds to the confusion
    :D
