I had to copy this out:

"The weekend prize package must be taken over a four-day period from Saturday to Tuesday. The winner will be collected by Ferrari on the Saturday morning from either Manchester International Airport / Manchester Piccadilly Railway Station. The accompanying guest will be collected by a BMW X5 at the same times and days stated above. The dentistry treatment will be carried out up to the value of £10,000. All dentistry treatment is available to the winner only and not the accompanying guest. Cheshire Chauffeur Services will collect the winner and guest from Dr Lance Knight’s Manchester estate and transport them to Armathwaite Hall on the Sunday evening. Armathwaite Hall is inclusive of a two-night stay for two people in a deluxe lake-view room with full Cumbrian breakfast and six-course table d’hote dinner. Prize excludes bank holidays, Christmas and New Year period. Valid until 30 November 2008. The winner and guest will then be collected on the Tuesday morning and returned to Manchester International Airport / Manchester Piccadilly Railway Station. "

I am not sure I would like to win a trip to the dentist, so I will give this one a miss.

    I think it is Manchester.

I think it's Lake District because the question is 'Where is the estate' not 'What is the name of the estate'.

You could cover all bases by answering 'Manchester Estate in the Lake District'. :D

I don't think that's the name of his estate - it just says his Manchester estate - I read that as the estate is located in Manchester and not named Manchester. After the treatment you are taken to the Lake District for the break

Yeah, you're right but that's a toughie because it doesn't actually say you'd be staying at his estate  ... although I guess you must be as they're not likely to turf you out into a local B&B! :rotfl:

I'd still be tempted to answer both because the first night's stay is unclear.

I'm gonna give this one a miss as well, but I think that they would be looking at Manchester for the answer, as that is where the estate is located.

    I've gone with...
The Armathwaite Hall Country House Hotel and Spa - Bassenthwaite - Keswick - Cumbria - Lake District
Hopefully that shud do it :rotfl:
  • They call their question 'simple' even though it's stupidly ambiguous.

The picture they're using at the top is of Aramthwaite Hall (Lake District), so at the moment I'm leaning towards that.
