Yell.com Registration Promotion Rules

The Promoter is Yell Limited, Queens Walk, Oxford Road, Reading, Berkshire, England, RG1 7PT ("Yell").
By entering this promotion, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these rules ("Rules"). Entrants who satisfy all these Rules shall be eligible to enter the promotion, subject to availability.
Employees or contractors of the Promoter or any person directly or indirectly associated with this promotion and in each case their immediate family members are not eligible to enter this promotion.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. This promotional prize draw is open to all UK resident individuals aged 18 or over who successfully sign up to and register a MY YELL account online at the web site https://www.yell.com on or before 17:00 hours 31 May 2008 ("Closing Date"). Entry is restricted to one entry per person.
There is one prize of £1000 Pound Sterling worth of John Lewis vouchers. The Prize is non-transferable and no cash-alternative will be provided.
The voucher may contain additional terms and conditions of use. The Promoter cannot guarantee the performance of any third party and shall not be liable for any act or default by a third party.
Prize draw entries will be accepted between 08:00 hrs 28 February 2008 and 17:00 hrs GMT on the Closing Date.
The winner will be chosen randomly from all eligible entrants, by an independent third party. The winner will be notified by email using the details that they provided during MY YELL registration. The winner will be asked to provide their full postal address for the prize to be posted to, within 14 days of the Closing Date. If: (1) the winner cannot (through no fault of the Promoter) be contacted by email within 72 hours after the first attempt; or (2) the Promoter does not receive a valid postal address for the prize to be posted to, from the winner, within 14 days from the date which the Promoter first sent the email notification to the winner; then an alternative winner will be selected at random and the original winner will no longer be entitled to the prize. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Prize will be issued to the winner by registered post to the address provided by the winner to the Promoter. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for correspondence or if the prize is lost or delayed in transmission or post.
Yell.com may not support some computers and browsers. MY YELL registrations that are incomplete, not transmitted or transmitted with errors or corruptions will be deemed invalid for the purpose of this promotion.
Entries made by or on behalf of third parties, bulk entries or activations made by agents will not be accepted.
The Promoter reserves the right to amend, alter or withdraw the promotion or otherwise provide an alternative or substitute prize at its sole discretion.
The winner may be required to co-operate and participate in publicity and publicity materials and consent to being photographed for such purposes. In submitting the entry, the entrant authorises use of the entry for any promotional purposes in relation to the competition in perpetuity by any and all means in any and all media, including reproduction for online, television, publication and exhibition use.
For details of the independent third party and the result, please visit https://www.yell.com/voucherpromotion. Those details will be available online for 4 weeks, commencing 15 days after the Closing Date.
The Promoter will need to process any personal data that entrants submit for the administration of this promotion and entrants consent for these purposes.
The Promoter will not accept any responsibility for claims, losses, costs, expenses or liability of any kind whatsoever suffered by entrants, to the extent permitted by law.
The prize draw is governed by English Law and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction over it.

i activated by email and by mobile so not sure if i needed to or not?

Worked fine for me. I left the mobile phone field blank and I got a confirmation of my registration.
