Written and read by the inimitable author Jacqueline Wilson, My Sister Jodie is a story about two sisters, Pearl and Jodie. Pearl is the small, shy, younger sister, whilst Jodie is bold, brash and bad.
When their parents get new jobs at Melchester College - a Victorian Gothic Mansion - the two sisters spend a bizarre summer holiday in the boarding school. Things begin to change as Pearl finds her voice and makes new friends, but Jodie's trouble-making goes to the extreme as she argues with her mum, scares the younger children and flirts with the young gardener.
In the resulting goings-on and a tragic event, the girls' sisterhood is tested and they learn a few important lessons. It is a wonderful and moving story of two sisters, friendship and teenage rebellion, dealing with the anxieties of growing-up in an accessible and imaginative way. A must for all parents with older children.
We have 10 copies of this delightful, heart-warming audio book to give away to lucky my child readers
