That's a 6 litre bottle!
Averys can trace its roots back to 1793 when it was established in Bristol. The firm prospered locally until the 20th Century when Ronald Avery developed and expanded the business, becoming a major rival to the traditional merchants in St James’s in London. New wines from the previously little-known appellation of Pomerol were the first to be imported by Averys, including the now legendary P!trus. Ronald's son and current Chairman John Avery, is a Master of Wine who still travels the world in search of exciting fine wines.
This month, one lucky reader will win a truly fabulous prize: an IMPERIAL of Chateau L’Evangile 1997, priced at £599. This massive bottle of an oustanding Pomerol will be a wonderful addition to any collection.
How many standard 75cl bottles are there in an Imperial?:
